Well that last rep was super sketchy 😂 kinda rolled into low bar halfway up lol but it turned out ok-ish. Gonna do one more heavy deadlift session this week and that will be it for this block of training. Gonna spend some time backing off and get ready for the next block.

Shown here is my top set 86% (3rd set). Goal was 6-8, I got 8reps...although reps 7 & 8 were a grind. This was after I worked up to a 2RM using 2-boards this week....235lbs, 255lbs, 265lbs(shown) and then failed 275lbs(shown). Interesting training week. Let's just say event training, specifically farmers, in 30 degrees is not fun. Stationary yoke with swing set straps and a band at the hips to try to simulate yoke without being able to move. It was interesting but still feel like I just needed a bamboo bar, chains, more bands, and a bosu ball to complete the picture. (Actually it felt pretty close to moving with a yoke.🤣). PR Day! Not gonna lie I'm so stoked about what I did today. Pushed 130lbs for 5 sets of doubles. I've never completed a successful single rep at 130 before. And what I'm even more stoked about for today is after my 5 sets I grabbed 40's for my flat bench 3x10. Competed in my first Sanctioned meet yesterday the GPC Summer Classic and couldn’t of been happier with how I went. Went 7/9 with best lifts at squat150, Bench95 and finally broke the 200kg deadlift which I’ve been chasing ever since I started lifting. I never placed as high as I knew I had the potential to and there's no one I could blame for it but me. Each and every show I did would leave me feeling disappointed. Not only because of the placing, but because I knew deep down that I could have worked much harder and been more disciplined. Going into 2019 I made myself a promise; if bodybuilding was something I truly loved and wanted to excel at, I needed to put 100% of my heart and soul into it. Anything less would be wasting my time. Winning is definitely a great feeling, and something I will keep striving to do. But the best part about it all wasn't the placing, it's that I can now proudly say that I was finally able to prove to myself that I had it in me.
