“Fall in love with your best friend. With the person who makes you laugh the most. With the person who makes you smile even when you don’t want to. With the person who makes ordinary days feel extraordinary. Fall in love with the person who inspires you to be your best. Who encourages you to chase your dreams. Who believes wholeheartedly that you can reach your goals. Fall in love with your best friend, because no one will love you like someone who already knows how to.” #mypassion #mypurpose . @nicolemelephotography nicole@nicolemelephotography.com 203.415.1804 . #nicolemelephotography #minisessions #ctweddings #portrait #portraits_ig #portraitperfection #portraitmood #life_portraits #photoshoot #nikon #nikonphotography #portraitphotography #photooftheday #photoshoot #nikond750 #ctphotography #Twinbrookspark #connecticutphotography #connecticutfamily #dirtybootsmessyhair #2020ctphotographer #makeithappen #theknot #shesaidyes #ctengagement #MeigsPointNatureCenter

From the desert to the mountains to the city then back again. In one week. My skin can become....stressed. I have to keep up with it all or I will have days of irritation. Here is one tip: Hydrate your skin before/after being outside in a cold climate. I learned this tidbit from @thevicstyles when we were in Lake Placid. I love a good mask that hydrates and a serum to top it off like @oseamalibu hyaluronic acid. And, same goes for the desert. Dry climates will dry you up immediately and facial oils are my BFF before and after. My favorite is @cocokind chia seed oil. And, in between? I carry a stick of cocoa butter. Pure cocoa butter. It not only smells good but it keeps my lips and skin hydrated in between. I cannot be ashy out on these trails, y’all!🧴I can’t wait to share more of my outdoor self-care journal. It’s so important especially as a black woman in the outdoors. More soon...🤎

This is one of my favorite things that has been done for us. It’s not everyday you get the fabulous @justinhackworth to take your photo so that it can be doctored up by @typeaffiliated like this! It works perfectly to repost now for the #2020cotfaintroductions - here’s a little bit about us you may not know: Steve and I work together on many projects but we also do our own things too. He’s a talented graphic designer (who teaches at UVU) and I can barely use a computer. I just get so frustrated with them, so it’s nice to have him around to do what I need. 😉Technology is not really my friend. We paint together, but by that I mean, we collaborate. We do paint murals at the same time, but with paintings, he does the drawing, I do the painting. Usually. We’ve had work accepted into many shows, which is a thrill, since we only became serious about our art career a few years ago. I love splashing color around and he loves to doodle. We met when we were 18 and have been married for 32 years! What?!?!!Age is only a number. It doesn’t have to be a negative. Do what you want. Try new things! You never know where it may lead. I love color. I love pop art. I love redecorating our house. It never ends, much to Steve’s chagrin. Steve collects toys, mostly superheroes, and has had part of his toy collection in multiple museum shows. He’s a musician. Very talented. The kind that can play any instrument by ear and makes up songs all the time. His instrument of choice is piano. Overall we love to be involved in the creative community. The Arts are so important. After all, civilizations are remembered for their arts. We love going to museums, walking in the mountains, and playing with our grandkids when we need a break from everyday life. There’s a little bit about us. Tell us something about yourself! Share it as part of the #2020cotfachallenge And #21daysinmyartworld - This photo embellishment was done by @typeaffiliated and photographed by @justinhackworth as part of their @provopeopleproject - we loved being a part of it! #ahappyvista
