Living in a hand built home
We get a lot of intrigued looks when we sit with our doors open. Some people slyly look as they walk by, and others come over and ask us in their language whether it’s ok to have a look inside. We’re immensely proud of our hand built home, and sometimes we forget how weird the notion of living on a van must be to other people. It’s such a normal thing for us now that Vincent doesn’t feel like a van at all, until we turn the engine on and drive away that is. A home is somewhere that you feel safe and comfortable in, a place that you have put your own stamp on and that you know like the back of your hand. I don’t think I even knew where the fuse box was in the last house I lived in, but I could rewire any of Vincent’s electrics with ease. It’s all about how you look at life and how happy you are, and we’ve never been more content.
