The tiny Colombian pueblo of Barichara will always have a special spot in our memories of this journey.
We spent 4 nights free-camped at a viewpoint in town with a million dollar view in our backyard. We took misty morning hikes to Colombian farm towns that time forgot. We bumped noses with curious cows. We ate weird food (cow udder) and met new people. We spent NYE learning new Colombian traditions with the most welcoming family you could imagine.
We left Barichara with a new appreciation of just how incredible Colombia could be... which has only been proven correct in the past few weeks. #eatweirdfoodandmeetnewpeople
Never take a cat and reactive dog to London Bridge. Just don’t. Our chances of survival were better by retreating to the edge of a golf course where we may get hit in the head with a golf ball.
